Newborn twins visit My Newborn Portrait, Bishop's Stortford

It's always a lovely challenge to photograph newborn twins. It gives me the opportunity to use different props, try some new poses and of course there's the issue of getting them to sleep at the same time. To be a newborn portrait photographer you need patience, patience and more patience.

Yvonne passes Associateship with flying colours

I am absolutely delighted to have passed my Associateship with the Master Photographers Association. It has taken me nearly a year to hone my work and to be able to travel up to Darlington and present 20 of my finest images was certainly one of the proudest moments of my life. To see them all up on the wall for judging and then to be told that I had passed with flying colours - well! I must admit t have let a tear or two escape.

Wedding photographer Down Hall - Laura and Mark

Laura and Mark were married at St Mary's Church, Matching and then held their reception at the fabuous Down Hall. Laura also chose to get ready at Down Hall, which always makes for the most amazing "getting ready" shots. It really pays to use a venue for the early morning as well as the rest of the day. I had so much fun with Flowers and chairs and fireplaces and props at this venue. Here are just a few of my favourites...

My Associate panel

Wow!! So Super excited to have been awarded my Associateship with the MPA yesterday.
This involved months of preparation, waiting for the right models and then creating 20 pieces of artwork to be judged by a panel of 5 judges.

Newborn Baby portrait photographer Bishop's Stortford

Baby D was a pleasure to photograph and his mum (a first timer) was very patient and very willing to let me try all sorts of (safe) props! We had a fabulous four hour session and the resultant images were amazing. I hope you enjoy them!

Wedding Photographer, Theobalds Park.

Claire and Junior got Married at the beautiful little church at Matching and then on to Theobalds Park. The rain was torrential when Claire arrived at the church, but it made for some really fun shots of the groomsmen. Later the sun shone on Theobalds park and what a backdrop for some perfect wedding portraits!

Its a year since Andrea and Richard were married at Fanhams Hall in Ware, Hertfordshire and I can hardly blieve how the time has flown. The weather was colder than it is today, but we still managed to get some lovely photographs as the tea-time sun came out to play!
